I’m the founder of RS Gonzales and a longtime leader, operator, and strategist. After more than two decades serving our country overseas and later building and selling my own small business, I now help residential and commercial HVAC companies grow sustainably — without gimmicks, hype, or empty promises.
Before founding RS Gonzales, I spent 23 years serving the United States as a Foreign Service Officer and diplomat with the U.S. State Department.
During my career, I worked everywhere from Afghanistan to Liberia, served as the USAID representative to the European Union, coordinated humanitarian and development initiatives with international partners, and held senior leadership roles in Paris and Israel. I managed large, diverse, multicultural teams and oversaw complex, multi-million-dollar programs where accountability, trust, and results weren’t optional — they were mission-critical.
That experience shaped how I think about leadership, systems, and execution. And it’s the foundation I now bring to the businesses we serve.


In 2017, my husband and I started a local tutoring business in Washington, DC. What began as a service rooted in helping others quickly became a crash course in entrepreneurship.
I learned firsthand how hard it is to grow a business when you don’t yet have visibility, brand recognition, or a steady flow of leads. I had to teach myself digital marketing, positioning, systems, and operations — not from theory, but from necessity.
We scaled that business successfully and sold it in 2022.
That experience gave me something no textbook ever could: deep empathy for business owners who are doing everything right operationally, but struggling to grow because the marketing side feels overwhelming, confusing, or stacked against them.
RS Gonzales exists because too many great contractors never get a fair shot.
After decades in public service, I believe deeply in supporting real people — the hardworking business owner who serves their community, takes care of their employees, and wants to build something lasting for their family.
Many HVAC contractors are competing against massive, private-equity-backed companies with outsized marketing budgets. That doesn’t mean they should lose.
Our mission is to give independent HVAC businesses the systems, strategy, and confidence to compete — and win — on their own terms.
That’s why we focus on education, transparency, and long-term partnerships rather than quick wins or vanity metrics.
