Two People, No Ad Budget, And A Map To Climb

Lexany’s Heating and AC is a two-person HVAC company in Kaufman County, Texas. Small team, no big ad budget.

To compete locally and show up on Google Maps, they needed reviews. Reviews are the currency of local trust, and the biggest factor in who ranks at the top of the map.

But asking for reviews feels awkward. Most small shops run into the same three walls:

01

Asking feels awkward, so it never becomes a habit

02

It gets done inconsistently, or not at all

03

Some shops resort to incentives, which break Google’s rules

A Review Habit That Was Consistent, Sincere, And Inside The Rules

Ask Every Customer, Every Time

We coached Lexany’s technicians to ask for a review at the end of each service call. Not once in a while. Every job, every customer.

Explain Why It Matters

The key was how they asked. Technicians explained, humbly, that Lexany’s is a local small business working to deliver great service while keeping prices fair for their neighbors, and that a review genuinely helps.

Keep It Honest

No discounts. No quid pro quo. Just a personal appeal from people who live in the same community as their customers.

That sincerity resonated. Customers wanted to support a local business they already trusted. It is also the only version of this that is safe — incentivised reviews break Google’s policies, and we do not touch them. If you want the mechanics, we wrote them up in how Google reviews affect HVAC rankings.

A Website Built To Match The Reputation

Reviews get people to click. The website has to close the deal.

Lexany’s already had a large website, over 250 pages, but the content lacked depth. Too many pages were generic and interchangeable, the kind of copy-paste filler that neither homeowners nor Google reward.

So we rebuilt it with substance. Dedicated service pages for every offering, plus hyper-local location and service-location pages written for each area they serve, not one template stamped out over and over:

  • Air Conditioning: repair, installation, maintenance, ductless mini-splits, and heat pump installation
  • Heating & Furnace: heating repair, installation, and maintenance, heat pump repair, and furnace installation
  • Indoor Air Quality: duct cleaning, air purification, humidifiers and dehumidifiers, UV lights, and air filtration
  • Service and location pages: 200+ pages mapping each service to the areas they serve, so Lexany’s shows up for the exact searches homeowners type, like “AC repair in Forney” or “heating and air conditioning in Rockwall”

Every Service Given Its Own Page, Not One Template Stamped Out

That depth pulls double duty. Genuine, specific content helps Lexany’s rank for far more local searches, and it shows homeowners they are a full-service team, not a one-trick shop. Every page stays focused on what they do best: residential work in Forney and the surrounding Kaufman County towns, backed by same-day service, NATE-certified technicians, honest pricing, and free estimates.

Reviews, Rankings, And Calls That Compound

A 4.9-Star Reputation

Lexany’s now holds a 4.9-star rating across 339 reviews, with new ones arriving all the time. Customers call out the service by name.

The Top Of The Local Map

Those reviews put the Lexany’s Heating and AC Google Business Profile at or near the top of Google Maps across the heart of their Forney service area. On their local ranking heatmap, the green top-ranking pins cluster exactly where it matters most: the neighborhoods closest to home. That keeps their two-person team on nearby jobs instead of driving across the metro.

Calls That Keep Climbing

Visibility turns into phone calls. In June 2026, Lexany’s took 21 calls straight from their Google Business Profile, up 950% over the same month a year earlier. Add in direction requests and form submissions, and the profile brings in roughly 25 to 30 organic leads a month, none of it paid.

And it compounds. More reviews lift the Maps ranking, which brings more calls, which brings more reviews. A two-person shop now out-ranks larger competitors where it counts most: the local map.

They Committed To The Habit, And They Meant It

Every technician, every call, with a genuine appeal rather than a scripted one.

That authenticity is exactly why it worked. Customers can tell the difference between a favor asked in good faith and a box being checked. One reads as a small business asking for help. The other reads as a script.

We can build the habit, write the pages and tune the profile. We cannot manufacture technicians people are glad to have in their home. That part was theirs.

Results like these are exceptional, not typical. They start with a team that earns the reviews it asks for.
